EVENT CELEBRATED 'ONE LIVE KISS'

Here are a few photos from last Saturday's Dayton KISS FAN FEST.

Though the event was billed as a KISS FEST, this one was all about Paul Stanley! Though not present, Paul was definitely there in spirit as several hundred fans enthusiastically celebrated the release of Paul's 'ONE LIVE KISS' DVD. Fans were treated to a Q&A with the film's director, Louis Antonelli, and a screening of the entire concert & additional unreleased footage from Paul's LIVE TO WIN Tour!

The day also featured two great performances from KISS Tribute bands - KIDS and MR. SPEED. KISS collectibles were on sale through out the event and everyone in attendance received a 'ONE LIVE KISS' laminate, guitar pick and over sized postcard.

Just another great day of celebrating with fellow members of the KISS Army!

After more than 15 years, my dream come true yesterday at Long & McQuade store in Ottawa.

I finally met the drummer that changed my life forever.

Last week, I saw that Eric will be at Long & McQuade store in Ottawa. I jumped in my car with my son William and my best friend Seb (the Tattooer) to go there.

My son and I would like to thank Eric for all the time he took with us to sign all my precious stuff including my arm (now tattooed) !

For all Kiss fans, you want the best and we have the best drummer, Catman and human guy in the world -Eric Singer!

AN EVENING WITH PAUL STANLEY

Following Saturday afternoon's gallery show, Wentworth Galleries held an exclusive "invitation only" private dinner and evening with Paul Stanley at the Ritz Carlton in McLean, VA. 30 art collectors from around the country feasted on a multi course dinner of filet mignon and roasted sea bass while surrounded by new art works including abstracts and portraits.

Each course of the dinner featured a star shaped food item beginning with star crab cakes and concluding with assorted star shaped pastries and chocolates. Paul, along with Tommy Thayer ate each course at different tables, spending quality, one on one time with all guests.

Everyone who attended agreed the highlight of the six hour party was an unannounced surprise of Paul and Tommy performing an acoustic set of KISS and Beatles classics!

With the overwhelming success of the event, plans are underway to make this an annual event with next year's festivities in Las Vegas.

Paul’s second visit to the DC area Wentworth Gallery was one not to be missed and provided a great experience by meeting Paul. I made a call and found out that one hour prior to the general public coming in there would be an opportunity to be a part of a private champagne reception and meet and greet with Paul. The catch? You must purchase a piece of art. I then was told that I could book an appointment prior to the reception to have a gallery member show and talk about the works in depth that may help in the decision making process. Thanks to Bruce Kulick for sending us these photos from his appearance at last weekend's Baltimore KISS Expo! Both Bruce, and the KISS Army, had a great time catching up with old friends and celebrating everything KISS! Bruce told KOL that he is really excited about his upcoming solo CD, especially the track featuring Mr. Simmons!

PROMISES MORE ALIVE 35 DATES

KISS guitarist Paul Stanley banked millions of dollars last year. Not from touring, but from his paintings.

For the past year, Stanley has been touring his original artwork and will open a new exhibit this Saturday at a Washington, DC area gallery. “It’s been terrifically successful,” Stanley tells Rolling Stone. “And the great thing is I never expected it. I paint for myself. If no one else likes it at least I do. I have never approached things to please other people in both art and music.”

KOL FAN LETTER

Greetings,

It was a cool sunny day but that did not keep the diehard Eric Singer fans away from his meet and greet in Hamilton, Ontario this past Monday. Although he was 20min. late to arrive at the music store, it was well worth the wait.

I was lucky enough to be 3rd in line. Eric was professional yet open to signing anything that was presented to him. Since he was rushed for time, he stood up and told everyone to have what they wanted signed ready and their cameras set if they wanted a picture. That was all I needed to hear.

I had my Carnival Of Souls CD that Bruce Kulick had already signed, in one hand and my camera in the other. He signed it, chatted with me and even handed me another photo, which he personalized with his signature on it. I got beside him for a photo and what took 4 hours of waiting in line, took less than 4 minutes to be over.

I've included a couple of pictures from that day.

The Dayton KISS Fan Expo returns next Saturday Oct. 11 with a Tribute to Paul Stanley!! To celebrate the October release of Paul's concert DVD, 'ONE LIVE KISS', the Dayton KISS Expo will honor Paul throughout the day!

And what better way to honor our main man then to show his amazing new concert film, 'ONE LVE KISS'! Paul Stanley has authorized a special preview screening of his new concert movie, ‘PAUL STANLEY* ONE LIVE KISS’ for this Expo event. The feature length movie was shot during Paul’s sold out ‘Live To Win’ solo tour of America in 2006, capturing the power and intensity of Paul’s legendary songwriting and showmanship at full throttle! The movie will be shown in its entirety, in High Definition on a large screen.

Director Louis Antonelli will introduce the screening, and do a Q&A with the audience following the movie. Antonelli recently told KOL, “ These fullscreenings of the movie are very special, they will give fans a chance to see this highly anticipated film in a unique, entertaining way! In the past when we have done previews of scenes from the film it was great because fans felt like they were at the concert right in the front row singing along with Paul, cheering, and doing their all to SHOUT IT OUT LOUD! Seeing the movie like that with a packed house of the great KISS ARMY is a very immediate ‘live’ experience! I’ve had fans tell me many times now that watching the movie that way made everyone feel Paul was right in the room rocking with them!”
